How It Started!
Over a year ago, the Gatton Bowls Club reached out to Jen, and a new institution was born in Gatton.
Jen has worked in some of the most loved restaurants locally, starting in Banjos Toowoomba, and also working in Scarborough Hotel in Redcliffe. Jen has crafted the restaurant to embrace family dining, while creating an exciting seasonal menu that has delighted locals.
Her favourite style of dining is actually fine dining, and she has honed her skills to an excellent standard. Desserts are also her forte, Jenny says 'If I could just cook desserts all day, I would'.
In just a year, the business has grown to now be training two local girls, one into her full chef apprenticeship. It is fantastic to see how the local support have enabled this new restaurant to employ the next generation.
